The new Monte Rosa Hut is the most modern hut of it's kind in the Alps or even in the whole world. It's a hut with future orientated technology, design and use of energy.
To reach the on 2883 metre / 9226 ft. based hut it's necessary to cross the Gorner glacier. Sometimes the conditions on the glacier require the use of crampons. As it's a strenuous high alpine hike it's highly recommended to allow yourself enough time for this trip with a night in the hut. Enjoy the sunset in the hut which is surrounded with the highest mountains in the Alps and of course the Matterhorn is right in front of you.
Programme:
Meeting place is the Gornergrat station in Zermatt. From there with the world famous Gornergrat train up to Rotenboden. From there in about 3 1/2 hours over the Gorner glacier to the hut. Overnight stay in the Monte Rosa hut. On the following morning return to Rotenboden.

CHF 1'110.-- for 1 or 2 persons. For every additional person CHF 100.-- will be charged.
